We appreciate your commitment to sending your children to camp this upcoming summer, thank you for your patience over the last few months. As of now overnight camps are not allowed to open in Saskatchewan. To date we have been unable to get any clear direction from the Saskatchewan government regarding when this might change. Unfortunately, given this reality we are taking steps to close camp for the summer. We deeply regret this decision and we are we are now taking steps to connect with you so we can handle each registration and payment refund personally.
This will be the first time in 35 years we have not run camp and we understand this announcement impacts all of you and causes great disappointment. Like you, we love summer camp and the way it grows our faith, creates community, and allows us to participate in outdoor activities.
Campers, we will miss you this summer, we know you are sad and that your life has changed so much in the last few months. We want you to know that camp will still be here in the future for more adventures, friendships, and Bible studies.
Parents, we appreciate your support and investment into a camp experience that has positively shaped your children’s summers. We know that this time has also been extraordinarily difficult for you and we want to continue to partner with you to provide future summer camp experiences that will create memories that last a lifetime.
In the coming weeks we will reach out personally by phone or email to talk through options for cancellations. In the meantime, we have several options for you to consider:
Full or Partial Donation: If you are able, your registration fees can be changed into a full or partial donation. This would be a significant help to us in this very difficult season as we have lost all our Spring and summer revenue due to the pandemic.
Defer Balance: Camper fees that have already been made can be applied to the 2021 season.
Full Refund: You may request a full refund of fees paid to date, and all cancellation fees will be waived. If you are able, a donation of $50 will help cover administrative and credit card charges.
We are going to miss everyone in more ways than we can express, but we are not without hope. In this time, we look to Jesus to be our hope. We are fully committed to welcoming campers back for summer 2021, and we know that God continues to be at work, even in this time.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
